Does POET offer interior design services?

We provide interior design consultations to help you in choosing the right pieces for your home. If you’re unsure about the style, size, colour or where to start, we can help you create a home that reflects your personal style. Whether you’re furnishing a part or  your entire home, we work closely with you throughout the entire process to bring your vision to life. My sofa cushions have lost their shape, what should I do ?

Feather and down cushioning is designed to conform to the shape of the user. Over time your furniture will exhibit a casual, inviting, lived-in appearance. Maintain your frustrations in life by beating life back into the pillow. Your feather and down filled back and seat cushions should be plumped up/ beaten regularly to maintain a neat appearance and shape. This will help ensure that the cushions don't become flat and lose their shape. If your cushions have a zip, it's a good idea to open the zip when beating them, as it will allow more air to enter, thus breathing more life and shape into the cushion.


How to give my sofa the best care to ensure it lasts for many years to come?

A sofa will naturally change form and appearance over time. The upholstery on your sofa will change with use, so it's important that you swap the cushions regularly to ensure even wear and use as much as you can. Love it like it's your own and it will love you back. That’s the soul of our items.


Can my sofa cover be changed?

Yes, the covers are individually tailored and can be completely removed or professionally replaced. Change from fabric to leather, a new seasonal look or perhaps just for a general refresh. Reupholster  them, make a change and the furniture presents itself just like new. Contact us to get a quote


How can I make payment for my order?

Payments for orders can be made via our showroom, via bank transfer to our account or by cheque (please allow 3-5 days for cheque clearance) . All account balances must be paid in full prior to delivery as our deliveries are made by outside contractors who cannot process payments on the day of delivery. 


What deposit is required for an order?

A 50% deposit of the total purchase price is required to proceed with your order. For accessories orders, we require payment in full (100%) at time of purchase.


What types of payment methods does POET accept? 

At Poet Showrooms, we accept cash, cheque, Visa and MasterCard credit cards and Electronic funds transfers (EFT). To allow time for bank processing, all cheque and EFT payments must be made 5 days prior to delivery day. All orders must be paid for in full prior to furniture delivery.


How long will it take to receive my furniture delivery after placing the order? 

At Poet, we tailor made to your specifications and for this reason our normal delivery time is 4-6 weeks. Please note this delivery timeframe may vary due to high demand. You will be advised with an approximate date of arrival at the time your order is placed. Should a delay occur you would be contacted immediately.


Can Poet delivery team move/ remove my existing furniture?

Our delivery team is not allowed to move or remove your existing furniture. Please ensure you clear the room where your new furniture will be positioned prior to delivery.


How will I be notified prior to delivery? 

You will be contacted a few days before your delivery via message or phone call to confirm delivery details and you will be given an approximate delivery time. Please note that if your order has been loaded onto a vehicle or delivery is attempted and you are not home, we will be charging a full delivery charge to you. To avoid this situation, if you would not be available during the agreed delivery time, please advise us at least 48 hours in advance.
